#OpenAI has announced the #rollout of two new experimental features, #web #browsing and #plugins, for #ChatGPT Plus users. These features are available in the #beta panel, which is being gradually released to all Plus users over the next week. The web browsing feature allows ChatGPT to browse the internet to answer questions about recent topics and events, while the plugins feature enables the use of third-party plugins that can be installed and enabled through the Plugin Store. To enable beta features, users can navigate to the Profile & Settings section and toggle on the features they want to try. OpenAI's rollout process for introducing new capabilities and model improvements to users involves an alpha phase, where a small group of users is given access to the new feature for testing and feedback; a beta phase, where the updated feature is made available to ChatGPT Plus subscribers who have opted-in for beta testing; and general availability, where the feature is made available to all ChatGPT users if it meets the quality standards. This phased rollout process allows OpenAI to ensure that new features in ChatGPT are well-tested and provide a reliable experience for users.
