ITALIAN NAUTICA : 91 MILLION EURO INVESTMENT FOR INNOVATION AND SUSTAINABILITY
The Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso, recently gave the green light to a major Development Agreement designed to transform the Italian Boating sector, with a total investment of more than 91 million euros.
This program aims to boost production capacity, design and build boats with a reduced environmental impact, and promote employment.
The plan presented by Sanlorenzo S.P.A., a leading luxury boat manufacturer, and its subsidiary Bluegame S.R.L., includes two production investment projects and two industrial research and experimental development ( PRISS ) projects. The regions involved are Liguria and Tuscany, with interventions planned at production sites in La Spezia, Ameglia, Viareggio and Massa.
Industrial research and experimental development will focus on sustainability and technological innovation, with particular attention to the use of environmentally friendly fuels and materials and the digitization of processes. In parallel, investment projects will aim to increase production capacity, redevelop abandoned industrial areas and modernize plants.
The initiative, which is of strategic importance to the Ministry, promises significant employment spin-offs, with more than 200 new hires by 2026 and a positive impact on the entire supply chain. The Ministry of Business and Made in Italy will fund the project with more than 11.3 million euros, while the Tuscany Region will contribute 500,000 euros.
The management of the agreement will be entrusted to Invitalia, which will oversee the process for accessing the planned facilities.
