Meta announced the expansion of its Meta AI virtual assistant on Ray-Ban smart glasses in Germany, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Finland. Users can now interact with Meta AI via voice commands to get answers to general questions. This move follows the initial launch in France, Italy, Ireland and Spain in November 2024.
New features include real-time translation between English, French, Italian and Spanish, enabling seamless conversations between speakers of different languages. Additionally, the visual assistant allows users to ask questions about what they see, receiving instant answers from the glasses’ built-in camera.
Meta has also integrated Shazam into the glasses, allowing users to identify music tracks simply by asking Meta AI. These features are available through a software update released in December 2024.
