Intel is preparing to dominate CES 2025 with a must-attend keynote scheduled for Jan. 6, ahead of AMD and NVIDIA. Expected announcements include innovations in AI, new Arrow Lake CPUs and updates on the 18A manufacturing process.

Key Points:

  • New leadership in action: Michelle Johnston Holthaus and Jim Johnson will lead the keynote.
  • Arrow Lake focus: Launch of mobile and desktop CPUs, with new inexpensive motherboards.
  • Progress in graphics: Possible debut of new Battlemage and Arc B850 SKUs.
  • Future of Foundry: Focus on technology innovations and 18A manufacturing process.

Intel has officially unveiled details of its highly anticipated keynote for CES 2025, set for Jan. 6 at 8:30 a.m. PST. The event, titled “Intel-Driven Keynote: AI Inside for a New Era,” marks a watershed moment for the company, with new co-CEO Michelle Johnston Holthaus at the helm, joined by Jim Johnson, Senior Vice President of the Client Computing Group. The change in leadership, due to the departure of Pat Gelsinger, sets the stage for a new strategic vision, focused on innovations that promise to redefine both traditional computing and AI.

At the center of the presentation are the Arrow Lake-H and HX CPUs, aimed at the mobile segment, which are a natural outgrowth of the Raptor Lake line. For the desktop market, non-K CPUs in the Core Ultra 200S series are expected to be launched, along with low-end motherboards compatible with the LGA 1851 socket, such as the B860. In parallel, the graphics sector may hold a few surprises, including the introduction of the Intel Arc B850 GPU and, perhaps, other models in the Battlemage range. However, uncertainty about release timing, characteristic of Intel strategies, could affect these expectations.

In addition to hardware innovations, attention will also be focused on the Intel Foundry division, with major updates on the 18A manufacturing process, which is set to become the centerpiece of future technology generations. This development reflects the company’s commitment to strengthening its competitive position in the semiconductor industry and expanding global manufacturing capabilities.

CES 2025 promises to be a pivotal event for Intel and the entire technology industry. Staying abreast of the details will be essential to understanding the implications of these innovations on the computing and AI landscape.
